How thesheet Helped Pic & Deco Track Every Product Without Building Their Own Software

"The client can see what is happening with every product in their project. It's amazing."

Lilianne couldn't find a tool that showed clients the visuals and the list together, so she built one. It still left her doing everything by hand.

The Company

Pic & Deco is a turnkey interior decoration studio led by Lilianne Frontado, working with a team of five. Some clients come for the design and buy the products themselves. Others hand over the whole space, and Pic & Deco takes it through to the finished room.

What Lilianne wanted was simple to describe and hard to find.

"I was looking for one place where my client can see everything. From the visuals of the project to the list."

She looked, didn't find it and built it herself - a client platform that grew out of a bigger idea about designers showing clients their list, their renders and their quotes in one place.

It solved the presentation but it didn't solve the part that was eating her week.

The Challenge

Everything was manual

A turnkey service carries a lot of product. Every item needs its image, its price, its link, its details - pulled off a supplier's site and turned into something a client can actually read.

That part never got faster.

"You have to download the image, upload it, copy the URL, paste it. Always manually."

Multiply that by every item in every space in every project and the admin becomes the job. Lilianne had built the destination, but she was still walking every product there on foot.

The Switch

Seeing it, then testing it

Lilianne first came across thesheet when another designer shared it on Instagram. It was free at the time, so she started making projects with it.

Two things stood out.

The first was the thing she'd been chasing all along: "What made me choose thesheet was that you can see the visuals and the list in one place."

The second was actually capturing information and this was the part her own platform had never solved.

"It was so easy to grab the information from the website. This is more time efficient and you have everything in one place. You don't have to download anything."

There are two ways to add a product: paste a link and let thesheet fetch the details, or use the Product Clipper while you're on the supplier's page. Lilianne tried both and noticed that while the URL paste can be good for quickly clipping ideas for the future – the Clipper itself made sure every detail came across from every site, every time. She had a clear favourite.

"I use it a lot. It makes me feel organised. I track every item, and I think that is wonderful."

The Change

One project, room by room

A turnkey project doesn't get signed off all at once. A client falls in love with the living room while the dining room is still being drawn.

With thesheet, that's not a problem to manage. It's just how the project moves.

"My client can approve one space. Let's go with the living room. I want to close it and start ordering while we're working on the dining room."

From there, every item carries a status - ordered, in transit, delivered, installed. Lilianne can see where each product is without asking anyone, and so can the client.

Internally, her team of five uses Internal Notes as a private studio space, separate from anything the client sees. "It's great that you can have a private section for your studio."

The Result

Organised, and visibly so

Ask Lilianne what changed and she doesn't reach for a number. She goes for a feeling.

"I use it a lot. It makes me feel organised. I have all my projects in one place and I can track them. I track every item, and I think that is wonderful."

The client side matters to her just as much as the studio side.

"The client can see what is happening with every product in their project. It's amazing."

When she shares a project, she adds a short note pointing clients to the renders, the overview and the list. After that, they get on with it - approving, rejecting, moving the project forward. "I haven't had any complaints. Nobody saying they don't know where the information is."

The Conclusion

A practical fit for turnkey work

Lilianne set out to solve a problem so specific she ended up writing software for it. She now runs Pic & Deco on thesheet instead - and spends her time on projects rather than on maintaining the thing the projects run on.

That's the whole endorsement, really. Someone who knew exactly what she needed, well enough to build it, found something that did more and made the switch.

"I really do love it."

How it helped

• Replaced a client platform the studio had built and maintained itself

• Took the manual work out of getting product information into a project

• Made it possible to close and order one room while another is still in design

• Gave clients product-level visibility from approval through to installation
